A SOIL TO POWER INITIATIVE TO ATTACK GLOBAL WARMING –
Inspiring People’s Participation for Development of Rural India

NOVA has undertaken a SOIL to POWER Initiative to Attack Global Warming
The INITIAL PROJECT includes:

• Plantations of Non-edible energy crops on 100,000 hectares wastelands in India
  
• Setting up Oilseed Expelling Units to crush seeds into oil and oil cake
• Setting up Methyl Esters Refineries to produce Methyl Esters from crops cultivated
• Biogas to be generated from Agro-residues
• Organic Manure : Produced during generation of Biogas
• Green Power to be generated from Biogas

This project will progress by Inspiring People’s participation. It will contribute to greening of wastelands and provide numerous socio-economic benefits to India. Moreover it will reduce emissions of Green House Gases in the vicinity. Through this, NOVA will be eligible to earn carbon credits.
